I am resting...

Permanent Linkby Arbie Wun on Fri Jul 08, 2011 10:59 pm

I had a rather late night and to be honest I couldn't really get to sleep and it was too yuck out to go for a walk or a run to burn off some energy. The energy was rather strange because normally when I have that sort of energy at night it ends up turning rather naughty and I end up feeling bad.

Last night I just stayed awake until I felt sleep, I didn't have the usual get naughty and be silly then fall asleep thing. I woke up feeling good but I don't want to get out of bed because I looked out my window and was greeted by fog which means it's cold out and I am really enjoying the warm cozy feeling of being in bed.

Work this last week was crazy and completely hectic and I am glad that the week is done with....

WOW...

Permanent Linkby Arbie Wun on Thu Jun 30, 2011 2:39 am

I am currently sitting in my dingy little office with the whirring of the computer, the printer and the gentle clicking of the keys as I type. Occassionally I will stop typing momentarily to grab a handful of flavoured crackers to stuff into my mouth as I contemplate the world and reflect on the way my life has gone over the years.

I know that where I am today is a very different place from the one I envisaged for myself as I was growing up. Sure the office environment isn't too far from the mark but that's only because the tools have changed slightly to enable better freedom of expression and creation through a computer.

I spent the evening using this tool to find a new tattoo design and low and behold I found an image which I am sure will make a very good tattoo once I have altered the amount of detail and rendered it more suitable to be a tattoo. I know that my present tattoo is creative and symbolic and the next tattoo will also be the same - the irony being that there will be elements in it that have a multitude of meanings namely the 'cross'.

Dragons...

Permanent Linkby Arbie Wun on Wed Jun 22, 2011 1:54 am

Dragons are the one mythical creature which I totally admire... there are many differing theories and images of dragons from Europe through Asia and with each different area they have different attributes. Many see dragons as an evil creature but I believe they are more like people and have both good and bad amongst them. I believe that dragons are in matter of fact a noble beast that is far more misunderstood than any other creature.

For example many people love dolphins but I am sure many are totally unaware of how evil and twisted these majestic creatures can be. They can be very violent and completely callous and because of that higher intellect this too can make them far more dangerous than people would be comfortable with.

The same can be said of our humble household cat, so comfortable and cute in many ways yet so dangerously calculating and efficient when it comes to killing. It is interesting to see how adaptive they are, especially in an environment that wasn't designed for them such as Australia. Feral cats reign supreme in many areas of the Outback. Swift, efficient, silent and secretive killers who have no regard for the plight of the smaller indigenous animals of Australia (many of which are now endangered by these once cute and cuddly creatures).

Anyways back to the real reason of this blog - Dragons, they are majestic creatures and have a strong noble place in folklore. Of course the main thing is the evil side of them but then that is normal with anything, you have good and evil in everything.

Currently I have 1 dragon tattoo on me and I have recently found the 2nd image that will become my second tattoo and it also has a dragon in it, but it also incorporates some Celtic imagery and a few other elements too which have a strong meaning to myself. I have always like dragons and my first memory of dragons was actually a dream I had as a young boy, I had my very own dragon and trained it as it grew up. This dragon was very big and powerful and it did eat some very bad nasty people and that is probably why I remember this dream so well.

Looking into the dragon dream a little more I just realised a few more things about some of the aspects of the dream and having the dragon. I think the main thing was that the dragon could fly which meant it was able to ride it and get away from the bad things that were happening in my life. It was also strong, powerful which I didn't feel but more than anything it was protective. Which at the time was something I felt I needed and my own family wasn't providing.

Arbie still Wunders about things....

Permanent Linkby Arbie Wun on Mon Jun 20, 2011 10:05 pm

I guess the problem for me is an over active mind, I find that it rarely slows down and even at times when I am writing my brain gets ahead of me and I start to write the next word in the sentence before completing the current one...

I have always had a highly active mind and my mother loves recounting a story from my childhood. When I was in the 1st grade my teacher believed that I wasn't paying attention in class as I was constantly doodling or looking at pictures in books. My mother asked her to do a simple thing and when she felt I wasn't paying attention she was to ask me a question related to what it was that she'd been doing or speaking about.

Naturally of course this didn't take long to happen and I got asked the question and answered it correctly. I have no recollection of the entire thing but that is something my mother remembers very fondly because it showed that I was paying attention in class even if the lessons seemed to bore me.
